Doosan Infracore celebrates its Global R&D Center
New center showcases Doosan’s commitment to developing excellent products and staying ahead of our competitors
Home to 800 researchers
Currently about 800 researchers are based in the R&D Center, which is comprised of 12 stories above ground and two basement floors, situated on 2.6 hectares of land. In addition to the work space, filled with the latest technologies, the building also features various types of meeting rooms, training rooms designated for the R&D Academy to nurture R&D talents, and coaching rooms. The building also boasts the highest energy efficiency rating and green certifications, minimizing energy consumption by utilizing natural sunlight. Each floor is equipped with a staff lounge and shower rooms, and the center also has book cafes and a rooftop terrace.

The center’s completion was celebrated on July 30 with an event attended by key management figures including Doosan Group Chairman Yongmaan Park, Doosan Corporation Chairman JW Park, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Chairman & CEO Geewon Park and Doosan Infracore President & CEO Yongsung Kim. “To grab the chance, we must stay ahead of our competitors by developing outstanding products and advanced technology,” said Chairman Yongmaan Park in his commemorative remarks. “I hope the completion of the Global R&D Center will give us an opportunity to open the era of ‘Global Doosan, Technology Doosan’ and secure strong leadership in global competition.”
The R&D Center also has an exhibition space for Construction Equipment BG, featuring diverse contents of Doosan Infracore that visitors can easily get access to. Outside the R&D center are displayed DH02 (produced in 1985), which became the stepping stone of the company’s success in mini excavators, and S220LC-III (produced in 1994) that opened the way for the development of the Solar series.
