Doosan Tech Forum 2014 was held August 28-29 to share in the latest research by and promote technology exchanges among Doosan’s major affiliates, including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore, Doosan Engine and Doosan DST.

Doosan Group Chairman Yongmaan Park and more than 900 R&D personnel attended the forum held at Chung-Ang University in Seoul. During the forum, 400 research papers relating to Doosan’s businesses were presented.

In addition, prominent guest speakers and specialists gave lectures on R&D innovations, embedded systems and next-generation information & communications technologies, all of which are expected to have significant impacts on the machinery and energy industries.

Among the research papers presented, Doosan selected one grand prize winner and nineteen outstanding papers in the eleven research areas including machinery, materials and electrical engineering. Winners each received a commemorative plaque and shared in a total of 50 million won (or nearly $50,000) in prize money.
