Doosan and Bobcat Company were each recognized for their 2011 equipment innovations with Construction Equipment’s Top 100 awards during World of Concrete, Jan. 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Top 100 program, established in 1990, is designed to annually recognize the top equipment in the construction industry based on advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products, or a product that increases competition in its field.

Doosan received a Top 100 award for the DX235LCR excavator. With a tail swing of just 3.75 inches over its standard 31.5-inch tracks, the DX235LCR excavator is designed to work on congested jobsites. Powered by a 173-horsepower, six-cylinder Doosan turbocharged engine, the DX235LCR boasts generous working dimensions for such a compact footprint.


Bobcat Company was awarded a Top 100 spot for the new 700 series loaders, including the S750 and S770 skid-steer loaders, T750 and T770 compact track loaders, and A770 all-wheel steer loader. These new M-Series models replace the current K-Series units. The new loaders, like other M-Series models, feature a cab-forward design that positions the operator closer to the attachment and provides high visibility in all directions.
