As part of our social corporate activities, the company is set to provide assistance for youths from low income families to develop their career paths. This project, dubbed Dream School, is being implemented in conjunction with the social welfare corporation World Vision.

An MOU signing ceremony to launch Dream School was held in the large conference room on 25F, Doosan Tower on January 5, with the presence of President and CEO Yongsung Kim and World Vision Chairman Hoseung Yang. A company official said, “Selected students from marginalized parts of society will be provided with the opportunity to explore their aptitude and have diverse experiences on a yearly basis.”

Youths selected for Dream School will explore their own interests. In the first stage, they will be trained in passion development, self-initiated learning, and positive thinking to explore their abilities.

In the second stage, under the Vision Expedition program, they will meet experts in areas of their interest to experience their future jobs and make their dreams more concrete. Company employees will mentor scientist-aspiring youths to help design their future career paths. Programs will be implemented targeting these youths’ parents and teachers to effectively implement the Dream School project.

The company will first next month select 200 first and second graders from middle schools near our workplaces in Seoul, Incheon, Gunsan, and Changwon. The company and World Vision will follow up on these students even after they complete the Dream School course.
