Doosan Infracore Launches Mobile App ‘DoosanCONNECT™

Doosan Infracore launches a mobile app for its own telematics service ‘DoosanCONNECT.’

On November 8, 2018, Doosan Infracore announced that it had officially launched a new mobile app for its ICT-based service ‘DoosanCONNECT™’ in the Apple and Android markets.

DoosanCONNECT is a telematics service that remotely monitors construction equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, and articulated dump trucks. The user can connect to DoosanCONNECT from anywhere in the world and monitor the location and operational status of equipment, including the condition of major equipment parts such as engine parts and hydraulic components, thereby improving worksite management and equipment operation to a significant extent.

To enhance user convenience, Doosan Infracore has integrated into one app all the functions that were provided through PCs and the mobile web. As a dealer-customer mobile chatting function has been added along with an image upload function, dealers can check the details of equipment malfunctions and provide technical assistance to customers immediately.

In addition, the app is equipped with an enhanced optimal path guide feature that allows the dealer to find the shortest path from his position to the equipment location and thereby offer customers technical assistance within the shortest time possible.

Furthermore, for customers running multiple pieces of construction equipment as well as for dealers serving multiple customers, a more elaborate search and filter feature than that offered on the mobile web has been incorporated into the app, remarkably improving user convenience as well.
The new app also enables a more focused and precise search. For instance, it is now possible to search and locate only equipment with less than 20% of its fuel capacity remaining or only equipment displaying error codes within a particular area.

An official of Doosan Infracore said, “We aim to fully exploit the new DoosanCONNECT mobile app as a cutting-edge channel of communication with our customers. We are also planning to continue improving customer satisfaction through the development of diverse DoosanCONNECT-based solutions including consumable and maintenance packages.”

Doosan Infracore developed ‘DoosanCONNECT’ in 2017 to enhance various features of its telematics service (originally launched in 2005) for greater user convenience, and introduced it to China, Europe, North America and emerging markets before officially launching it in Korea in 2018.
