Doosan is providing USD 300,000 worth of construction equipment to assist in recovery efforts in Nepal, in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck there April 25.
The construction equipment being dispatched includes excavators and wheel loaders, along with Bobcat compact equipment, which will allow easier operations on sites with limited work space.
To ensure the aid arrives promptly to Kathmandu, Doosan will send the equipment through Doosan Infracore India, the closest affiliate to Nepal. Additional spare parts will also be supplied to ensure reliable operations even in the face of a prolonged recovery process.
Employees are getting involved in the relief effort as well. Employees in Dublin, Ireland, completed a raffle fundraiser that raised €1000 for the people of Nepal. In addition, Doosan Infracore America, the U.S. branch of Doosan Infracore’s Machine Tools BG, started an online fundraiser to raise money for Nepal.
