Doosan Infracore (CEO Dongyoun Sohn) took part in Bauma 2016, the world’s largest construction machinery trade fair held in Munich, Germany from April 11-17, 2016. Bauma generally showcases a great variety of vehicles and machinery including excavators, cranes, road equipment and mining machines.

Bauma 2016, marking its 31st anniversary this year, was held over a 605,000m3 area, six times as big as KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in Goyang, Korea. Over 3,000 businesses from about 50 countries participated in the trade fair, attracting more than 530,000 visitors from all over the world.

In its outdoor exhibition area (4,500m2), Doosan Infracore featured ten excavator models, three wheel loader models and one articulated dump truck (ADT) model, together with Doosan Bobcat's mini excavators, skid-steer loaders and compact track loaders, as well as a wide selection of attachments. The company also introduced its compact diesel engine (G2 engine) and Doosan portable power products.

Doosan Infracore unveiled the DX57W-5, a 5-ton wheel excavator, whose fuel mileage has been improved by up to 15% compared to traditional excavator models of the same class, at the trade show for the first time. The product is fitted with a Doosan compact engine D24, resulting in a remarkable improvement in fuel efficiency. The company also introduced the 14-ton class DX140LC-5 and the 15-ton class DX140LCR-5, both of which meet Europe's Stage IV emission standards, while delivering more powerful performance than previous Stage IIIB models thanks to their higher horsepower and torque.

The company also introduced 360-degree VR (Virtual Reality) images of its construction equipment in action through a mobile app. Visitors were offered opportunities to have a virtual experience of operating DI heavy equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders and ADTs. The exhibition booth had a demonstration area, where various events with Doosan equipment were held every hour.

An official of Doosan Infracore said, "We have proved our outstanding product quality and technological prowess to customers from all around the world through an exhibition tailored to the characteristics of the Doosan and Bobcat equipment and demo shows of those equipment in action."
