Doosan Infracore announced on April 19 that it received an order for 15,000 engines from forklift manufacturer Linde China.

The company will supply 15,000 G2 small diesel and LPG engines sequentially from 2023 to 2027. The engine will be mounted on 3.5-ton or lighter forklifts produced by Linde China for export to Europe and North America.

Doosan Infracore competed in the heated bidding with global engine manufacturers in Germany and Japan. Meeting both Europe’s Stage-V and the United States’ Tier4 Final exhaust regulations, Doosan Infracore’s G2 engines won the bidding based on their overall superiority in eco-friendliness, high efficiency, quality, and price competitiveness.

The new G2 engine in particular applies Doosan Infracore’s patented ULFC* technology to increase power and reduce fuel and engine oil consumption to the lowest level in the class. It has also extended the filter replacement period to 1,000 hours and provided a wide range of options to enhance commercial value and customer convenience.

“The stricter exhaust regulations are actually a good opportunity to demonstrate Doosan Infracore’s technology. We plan to lead the small engine market by actively recruiting major customers based on the best engine technology,” said Yu Jun-ho, CEO of Doosan Infracore’s Engine BG.

Doosan Infracore has been supplying G2 engines to Germany-based Kion, the world’s no. 2 forklift manufacturer, since 2017. In 2018, it signed a long-term supply contract with Italian tractor manufacturer Arbos and a contract to supply 12,000 G2 engines that met Europe’s Stage-V exhaust regulations with leading Chinese forklift manufacturer Boili. In December last year, it received an order for about 3,000 engines for tractors exported to Europe from YTO, the largest agricultural machine manufacturer in China. <End>
